How To Live A Life Of Glory And Fruitfulness

Christians Are Chosen By God

God chose us for Himself. Christians are chosen for the display and manifestation of the glory of God. We are special and peculiar people chosen by God Himself for His purpose.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” — 1 Peter 2:9 AMP

You see above that Christians are not ordinary people, we are people chosen by God.

Glorious Children Of A Glorious God

To be a Christian is to be born of God and that means glory. A Christian is an offspring of God, that is why we are called new creations. Being a Christians means born into glory, born with glory and born for glory or glorification. What a life. We are the very children of God because we are born of Him by receiving His very life.

Glory

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12‭-‬13 NKJV

Prior to the coming of Jesus into the world, no mam could be born of God. Jesus was the first man to be born of God when He came in the flesh. He therefore became the first begotten of the Father. But today, in Christ, there are many sons of God, many begotten of the Father after Jesus Christ. Jesus is the first begotten; the new creature, all of us who are born again are the second begotten of the Father. No third and no forth but first and second only.

Hallelujah! We are the glorious children of a glorious God.

Life Of Glory Means Supernatural And Fruitfulness

Glory connotes fruitfulness, supernatural, abundance, prosperity, health, strength, wealth, etc. God is supernatural, we are supernatural because we are born of Him. God is fruitful, meaning we are born to be fruitful. The reason God chose us and gave birth to us is so we could be exactly like Him: fruitful, supernatural, prosperous, powerful, super-intelligent, etc. The Master says;

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. John 15:16 NKJV

Fruitfulness

No Christian chose himself, we are chosen by God. God doesn’t chose anything to fail, failure happens only when what is chosen by God didn’t live up to the standard and expectations of God.

Unfruitfulness Is Not Glory

There is no reason for unfruitfulness for the Christians with all the investments of God in and on us. Unfruitfulness and failure is not Christianity because no glory in unfruitfulness and failure. We are born to be fruitful because wherever there is glory there would be fruitfulness. Glory always brings fruitfulness and abundance. Jesus chose us so we could bear much and lasting fruit.

Our Calling To A Life Of Glory

It is true we are called to a life of glory, however, we have the responsibility to allow the glory manifest in our lives and in everything we do. Our glorification is an absolute reality. We don’t need to pray to be glorified any more. Praying and asking God to glorify us or show us His glory is not for the New Testament people. All the people who lived in the Old Testament till John the Baptist came waited for the glory. They wanted to see it, talked about it, and prophesied about it but never saw it. All their prophecies were about us the New Testament folks. We are the people of the glory, those whom God has glorified. Hallelujah! Because we have been glorified, everything work together for our good. Glory!

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Romans 8:28‭-‬30 NKJV

Truths About The Christians

Christians know God

For a Christian to say he doesn’t know God means he is denying Jesus like Peter did. Anyone who doesn’t know God is not a Christian because every Christian knows God. You have to know God before you can give your heart to Him. The people who find it hard giving their hearts to Him are those have not known Him. When He reveals Himself to a man, the man won’t be able to reject Him. The revelation of Jesus to a man in most cases cause the man accepts Him, this is why Saul couldn’t continue living without Jesus.

Meditate on the word

“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. Matthew 10:32‭-‬33 NKJV

When the message of salvation comes to a man it is the revelation of Jesus to the man. This message is what produces salvation in the man, meaning he becomes a Christian. We know God, to say we don’t know God means we are denying Him like Peter did when Jesus was arrested.

We are predestined to be like Jesus

Predestination is at work in us the Christians.
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:29 NKJV

God knew us before He started His works of creation and chose us ahead of all His works in Christ.

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:4‭-‬6 NKJV

We are well-known to God and chose us before He laid the foundation of the world to be His Children. Christians are not God’s afterthought, we are His first thought and occupy the first place in His mind.

We Are Called By God

God called us by Himself; the reason He called us is because He predestined us and chose us before the foundation of the world.

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Romans 8:30 NKJV

Coming to Jesus can only be by His calling. Being a Christian is a calling. All Christians are called. This is different from a call to be an Apostle, a Prophet, Teacher, Pastor, Evangelist or any ministerial office.

And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” John 6:65 NKJV

We Have Been Justified

What this mean is we have been made acceptable. God has accepted us because we have been made righteous. This is because of what Christ has done for us. We stand before God without guilt or inferiority.

Justified

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Romans 8:30 NKJV

Who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. Romans 4:25 NKJV

And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. Romans 5:16‭, ‬18 NKJV

Christians Have Been Glorified

Everyone who is born again is a child of God and a Christian. Being born again means you have been glorified.

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Romans 8:30 NKJV

Reasons Why Many Don’t See Glory Manifest In Their Lives

The simple reason why many Christians don’t see the glory of God manifesting in their lives is ignorance. Many don’t know that they have to allow the glory manifest in their lives.

Being born into glory doesn’t mean the glory will manifest automatically. Our actions determine whether the glory will manifest or not.

What then must a Christian do to allow the glory manifest?

Jesus tells us what to do;

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. John 14:21‭-‬24 NKJV

Having the words of Jesus in you and keeping the words, that is living by the words and doing them will cause Jesus to manifest Himself in and to you. Whenever Jesus manifests Himself to a man that manifestation is the manifestation of His glory.

What To Do To Live Productive Life?

Every Christian must live a productive, fruitful, prosperous, and victorious life in order to fulfill the purpose of the Father.

Being A Productive, Prosperous, Fruitful, and Victorious is not a hard thing if only Christians would learn to know and walk in light of the scriptures and in the Holy Spirit. Here is what the word of God says;

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 2 Peter 1:5‭-‬9 NKJV

Paying a careful and close attention to the scripture above will make a Christian not to be unproductive in life. The person who doesn’t pay attention to the scripture to do everything said is a blind man.

Add to faith virtue

Faith is not enough. Don’t say I have faith that can move mountain; there’s what you must add to your faith. The word says;
Add to your faith virtue. Virtue mean moral excellence. You are to develop this moral excellence, insight and understanding. Faith alone is not complete until moral excellence is added to it.

Add to virtue knowledge

To virtue, add knowledge, meaning it is wrong for a man of faith to live without knowledge. The devil won’t respect your faith until your knowledge expose his weakness.

add self-control to your knowledge

To knowledge, add self-control. You must develop this ability with your faith and knowledge. Faith plus knowledge without self-control can destroy, it is self-control that provides balance to your faith and knowledge.

add perseverance to self-control

To self-control, add perseverance. Perseverance means steadfastness. It means Continuing in a course of action without regard to discouragement, opposition or previous failure. You must not be a Christian who gives up easily or get discouraged.

add godliness to perseverance

To perseverance, add godliness. Be godly in every thing you do and say.

add brotherly kindness to godliness

To godliness, add brotherly kindness. This also mean brotherly affection. You should be kind to all brethren not to some or a few but to all brethren. And lastly,

add love to brotherly kindness

To brotherly kindness, add love – this is agape, unconditional love. Love all men, all brethren without reservation..

These are the characters that make a Christian productive and prosperous. The word says;

“For as these qualities are yours and are increasing [in you as you grow toward spiritual maturity], they will keep you from being useless and unproductive in regard to the true knowledge and greater understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 2Pet 1:8
